BluShelf
This Privacy Policy explains how BluShelf ("the App", "we", "us") processes your personal data when you use our mobile and web application for managing Blu-ray collections. Please read it carefully.
| Category | Data |
|---|---|
| Account | Email address, public name (handle), profile photo (optional), and the provider you sign in with (Google or Apple). |
| Content you create | Your collection of editions, the cover photos you upload, loans, watch history, recorded purchases, and the reports you submit. |
| Usage & diagnostics | Device and app identifiers, usage events (analytics), crash and performance reports, and the push notification token. |
| Communications | The content of messages you send us (support, reports). |
We do not request special-category data (health, beliefs, etc.) or payment data: BluShelf does not process payments within the App.
When you scan or upload a cover photo, the image is sent to our server and to an AI provider to extract the edition's data (title, audio, subtitles, barcode, etc.). The image is processed for that purpose and is not used by us to train models.
We share data, to the extent necessary, with providers acting as processors:
Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. In such cases, transfers rely on the safeguards required by the GDPR (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses).
We keep your data while your account is active.
When you delete your account from the app it is deactivated immediately and we keep your data for 90 days, so you can get it back if you change your mind or if the deletion wasn't your doing. After that period it is erased automatically and permanently. If you'd rather we erased it sooner, write to us and we will, without waiting.
Your contributions to the shared catalogue (editions you added and reports you filed) are kept detached from your account, that is, anonymised. We also retain whatever we must keep to comply with legal obligations or to defend against potential claims.
The process is described step by step in Delete your account.
You may exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to privacy@blushelf.app. You also have the right to withdraw your consent at any time and to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).
BluShelf is not directed at children under 14. If you are under that age, you must not use the App or provide us with personal data.
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access control. No system is infallible, but we work to keep information safe.
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the current version at this same address and indicate the last-updated date. If changes are significant, we will notify you through reasonable means within the App.
